I went to the kitchen around 4PM today looking for a snack, and this is what I came up with. I went back for seconds, and then thirds. Now our celery is all gone. I thought the little recipe I came up with was good enough to share. I made Scott try one just to make sure that my opinion of these wasn't just the fact that I was hungry as an elephant from my 16 mile run this morning. He said they were pretty good, and since he's a guy, that means they're really good.
I didn't measure anything exactly, but for two stalks of celery I mixed about 2T. plain greek yogurt with 1 tsp. peanut butter. Then I topped with craisins. I'm glad I got my run and my veggies in today because they were followed up by a massive sugar overload.
One piece for me, one for the house. That's how it works right? Now I need to get all the extra candy out of my house because I think I ate enough tonight to last me until next December.
By the way, my first 10 mile race went well today! I like that distance a lot. I ran under 70 minutes like I was hoping to. Race recap coming soon!
What's your favorite candy for gingerbread houses?
It's a tough call between the Andes mints and the cadbury minis, but I think the Andes mints win.
Nice looking gingerbread houses. My facorite candy for gingerbread houses are Dots and Gummie Bearss. They taste good and look cute. Great job covering 16 miles!!!! Thats amazing. I bet you're feeling real good. I'll try your version of Ants On A log. Sounds yummy.
