It's Been a Good (Gluten-Free) Sunday

I love Sundays like today.

I love it when my little ball of energy settles down and lets me cuddle with him. It's a picture-worthy moment. Actually, today was a picture-worthy day. One that I would want to look back on and remember. Nothing big or exciting happened today, I just want to remember all the little things that made me happy. It's the little things that are the best things, but I tend to only blog about the big things. I love how simple things like family walks, baking good food, going to church, and watching The Lion King as a family can make up a perfect day.

Speaking of baking good food... Get excited for this slow cooker tamale pie recipe coming this Wednesday because you and whoever you share it with are going to love it!

And here's some more good food. I think I baked more today than I usually do in a week. I knew doing this post yesterday would help motivate me to get back on the gluten-free track, and so far it has. Today was much better gluten-free wise. I made the gluten-free pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting that I was too lazy to make yesterday, and they were delicious. No more dang Costco muffins for me.

Scott and Boston even liked them, so I consider that a successful baking feat, especially since they're gluten-free and sugar-free. I'm sure the recipe for these will be making it's way onto the blog soon. :)

This picture pretty much sums up our Sunday night. We are loving our new Lion King dvd. I think The Lion King may have the best music of any Disney movie. Every time I listen to the music, I wish I could play the piano so I could learn to play those songs, especially "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Someday I will be able to. :)

What's your favorite Disney movie/ song?

What's something you've wanted to learn to do for a long time?
I've wanted to learn the piano forever. I've started and stopped quite a few times. One of these days I'm going to stick with it until I can play all my favorite Disney songs!

  2. I love the Lion King too and Matt and I have been wanting to watch it forever! Maybe that's what we'll do next Sunday. I feel like we just saw Boston but he already seems a lot bigger!
